AIR Club SA is an acronym for Assisting Individuals with Respiratory Disease. It is one of a number of support clubs throughout South Australias for Respiratory Patients and their Carers, under the auspices of LungNet, the patient support network of the Australian Lung Foundation.
Meetings are held regularly and people are invited to ring Trevor Creber for more information.
The benefits of joining a Respiratory Support Group are:
the opportunity to meet and talk with others with a similar condition
re-assurance and peace of mind
encouragements to develop a positive outlook and attitude
the opportunity to ask questions
carers are enabled to meeet and gain information.
The AIR Club was formed to provide support to patients south of the city and has close ties with RGH, Daws Road (Repatriation General Hospital), Daw Park.
Meetings are held monthly, usually on the 2nd Tuesday afternoon of the month at the Colonel Light Gardens RSL Hall.
The club ususally holds 2 BBQ and 2 luncheon meetings during the year and the other meetings usually feature a guest speaker.
Other districts also hold similar support meetings. For more information about one near you, choose one of the entries below
