The native garden is flowering at its best during late autumn,winter  and spring . Thus, July to September are ideal times to see flowers at their best. There are cut flowers for sale in season with vibrant colours and the most magnificent aroma of scents. Also the wildflowers in the adjacent park are at their peak during these times.

The summit of Mt Magnificent dominates the area rising to 380m above sea level, allowing panoramic views. The walk trail is part of the Heysen Trail and is accessible only to bushwalkers, who will enjoy the changing vegetation of woodland and wild flowers. Please be aware that for safety, walking on the Heysen Trail outside reserves is not permitted during the fire danger period of 1 Nov. – 30 April.
