Murray Bridge Hospital, The concept of the development of the hospital at Murray Bridge was first publicly conceived at a general meeting held on 13th January, 1919. It was decided to proceed with the development of a hospital that would be dedicated as Soldier's Memorial. The Minister for Health the Hon. Lea Stevens officially announced cabinet approval for $11.3m redevelopment for the Murray Bridge Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Inc in October 2004. It is anticipated that commencement of the redevelopment project will begin in October 2004 and anticipated to be completed in 2006.
