Our Facilities

Tea Tree Gully Primary School has an extensive range of facilities for both the students and staff. Tea Tree Gully Primary enjoys a high level of parent participation in the school with an active Governing Council and sub-committee structure. Parents are also invited to assist in the educational programs in the classroom units and in coaching sporting teams. We offer a range of Parent Participation Programs for those parents wishing to assist their children at home or in the classrooms.

Information Communication Technology Suite

Networking is the key to our ICT program and classes have regular access to the ICT Suite. It contains 20 computers, a data show projector, a scanner and laser printer linked to a curriculum network and internet facilities. Approximately 40 more computers are available for student and staff use throughout the R-7 units. Every classroom has standalone computers as well as access to hubs of workstations that are also linked to the curriculum network and internet facilities. ICT applications and appropriate software are used to support learners with their research and presentations across the eight learning areas of English, Maths, Science, The Arts, Society and the Environment, Health and Physical Education, Technology and Japanese.


Resource Centre

The resource centre has a vital role in the total teaching and learning programs of the school. It supports the development of skills in Information Literacy across the curriculum: to question, seek, critically evaluate, synthesise and present information. A range of resources - print and electronic mediums are available for learners. Information and Communication Technology is integrated into all learning areas. Opportunities are provided for students to work individually, in groups or as a whole class. The teacher librarian manages the Resource Centre with the assistance of an SSO and parent/student helpers. it is open for borrowing on Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 3.30pm. Classes are timetabled for borrowing and research-based learning


Our Grounds

Tea Tree Gully Primary has extensive grassed areas and abundant shade from mature gum trees providing the school with a natural parklands setting.

An oval and 2 tennis courts complement these facilities. There are also numerous recreational areas scattered throughout our outdoor area which include 2 large playgrounds, pendulum and ordinary swings and climbing apparatus.
