St Martins Lutheran College

St Martins Lutheran College in Mount Gambier is a Reception to year 10 Co-educational Christian College and is part of the Nationwide Lutheran Schools of Australia. Lutheran Schools began from a humble beginning in 1840 and there are now over 76 schools in Australia. St Martins began in 1982 and now has over 350 students. The College is developing into a R-12 school and will attain this goal by 2008.

St Martins is a Christ centred learning community that fosters excellence by nurturing each child’s potential within a safe and caring environment. St Martins provides many challenges and opportunities to enable all students to develop good Literacy and Numeracy skills within a stimulating child-centred learning environment.

The distinctive nature of St Martins is attributed to its committed, warm and supportive staff. Encouragement is considered a vital element in caring for students as they explore their world, while striving to achieve their personal best.

St Martins is now a double streamed primary school and extending to secondary. Students and teachers alike enjoy the modern facilities, the well appointed classrooms, the spacious grounds and playing areas. The Multi Purpose Hall, Chapel, Library, Science Lab, Specialist Music Suite and Information Technology Suite assist the school in offering quality education to children in their formative years.
