Encounter Lutheran School

Encounter Lutheran School is an independent co-educational school providing quality education from Reception to Year 7, and an Early Years program for children up to school age.

It is founded on the principles of the Christian faith as taught by the Lutheran Church of Australia.

We first opened our doors to students in 2001, and offer Christian education in well equipped modern facilities.

Encounter Lutheran School is set adjacent to Adelaide Road, at the entrance to Victor Harbor, with spectacular views of the hills and rural areas.

The school encompasses attractively landscaped grounds with shaded playgrounds, a basketball/netball court, cricket net, hard surface play areas and an oval.

Encounter Lutheran School aims to

• Develop self esteem through an environment that values and accepts every child

• Work with parents in educating children according to Christian values

Our educational philosophy is one that aims to educate the whole person – socially, academically, physically and spiritually. We strongly believe that as well as teaching students how to learn, it is equally important to help them develop the attitudes and values which will stand them in good stead for their future lives.

Each student will be encouraged to develop and attain goals at a pace suited to their characteristics and personality.
