HISTORY

TAFE SA Victor Harbor was originally located in Ocean Street back in 1975; and known as the South Coast Branch section of the Noarlunga TAFE. Victor Harbor campus comprised one building and mostly offered Adult Education Courses.  In 1991 the campus was moved to the current location on McCracken Drive and expanded in size to have 9 class rooms including a Common Room for students to relax and have lunch.

TRAINING

Our main focus at TAFE SA Victor Harbor is to provide training for a range of industry sectors and to meet the growing needs of small businesses and the local community.  Victor Harbor campus offers a variety of courses including:

  • Community Services and Health
  • Business Services
  • Financial Services
  • Vocational Preparation (including language, literacy, numeracy and women's education)

We also offer short courses such as Liquor Service, First Aid and BITES (basic computing skills for mature age people aged 45 +).

We are able to customise training to meet industry needs across a wide range of sectors, and have worked in partnership with local businesses on a number of successful projects.

The campus has native trees and a grassed area for students as well as the following amenities:

  • Student common room
  • Snack machine
  • Coffee machine
  • Food van (visits campus twice a day)

Our lecturers and office staff are mostly local people that have been serving the community for many years.  Being a small campus, lecturers and office staff get to know their students on a personal level.  Victor Harbor students also enjoy the close knit atmosphere that our campus provides.
