Blanchetown is known as 'The Key to the Riverland' and is only 1 1/2 hours drive from Adelaide through the beautiful Barossa Valley, and three hours from Mildura. Blanchetown is a small town situated at the start of the Lock and Weir system and is renowned for having two bridges that span the Murray River - with the old bridge offering excellent views of Lock 1. The magnificent cliffs that line the river, not only provide a haven for nesting birds, they also hold many secrets in the form of fossilised shells and other ancient sea creatures.

Our private moorings at Griffens Marina are nestled below limestone cliffs, offering security for your vehicle and flat lawned access to your houseboat, which makes loading and unloading a breeze. As soon as you leave the marina after your comprehensive instruction, your adventure begins. Our experienced team will even point out some extra special mooring spots, and are only too happy to answer all your questions. First timers?
