Forward Concrete Products Lonsdale was established in 1957 and has had three owners in this time. The present owner, Robert Kralj, worked as an employee for the company for 18 years before purchasing the business in 1988. Robert still works hands on in the factory with his employees and has full control over the manufacturing process 

Forward Concrete Products Lonsdale employs between 7 – 8 people all year round and has 75 years of collective experience in the industry. They supply several resellers, some of whom have been regular customers for many years. They also sell direct to the public. All this ensures that they are kept constantly busy.

Forward Concrete Products manufacture all their products on site at 17 Cooroora Crescent Lonsdale, South Australia. They batch their own concrete using High Early Strength Cement and 10/7 grade gravel. Each batch is made to their own set specifications, which is above normal requirements. Raw materials are weighed digitally giving a high consistency rate to make each mix equal. Their concrete is a minimum of 34mpa.

The products are vibrated which
1. eliminates air pockets
2. creates density therefore giving a heavier product
3. gives a smooth finish.
4. helps to make product waterproof.

Forward Concrete Products Lonsdale have set procedures for each step of the manufacturing process which have been previously endorsed by quality assurance. They manufacture a wide range of products for commercial and home use such as concrete slabs, garden edging, tree rings, pit lids, paving and much more!

Coloured Paving

The current trend to large format pavers has meant that this range has been in great demand. Their coloured paving is a relatively new product, but they been steadily increasing their range with the intention of further additions in the future.

Forward Concrete Products have both a smooth finish and a slate impression in this range. At this stage their main colours are sandstone, ivory and charcoal.

When manufacturing the coloured paving the oxide is mixed through the dry material before water is added to make sure the colour is consistent.
