Our vision is to provide excellence in quality Automotive Training with a focus on current and future Technology and the development of a Skilled Workforce for the Transport Industry.

"SHIFT" stands for SHaping Individual Futures in Transport.

The "SHIFT" Program assists linking young people with Industry. The aim of the "SHIFT" Program is to connect young people with Industry to accomplish brilliantly well-trained personnel that Industry desperately needs.

One of "SHIFT" s Programs is a Program to introduce young people to the Road Transport Industry. The young people do a Certificate I in Transport & Distribution, 12 to 13 days including site visits, obtain a Forklift Licence over 3 days, Senior First Aid Certificate over 2 days and a Driver Awareness Course of 1 full day. They are then required to complete a minimum of 10 structural work placement days.

Once the students have completed the full Program usually (run over a 6 month period) they would be well prepared to commence employment in the Transport Industry. They will need to be placed into suitable jobs where they can be mentored / trained and gain experience in a positive safe manner.

Part time school based traineeships are also a very good way of managing a young person, which could lead to a valuable long term employment arrangement. Work placement as per the Alloomba and SAMH Guidelines will enable the young person to achieve valuable life skills in a safe and responsible manner. The young person will actually practice some of the knowledge they have gained through the Program. (Hands on in a real work environment).

The idea of the Conditions and Guidelines is to enable safe low risk management of the young people in the variety of workplaces in the Milk Transport Industry.

This Program enables the young people to get out of the classroom and experience and discover the opportunities that the Transport & Distribution Industries have to offer.
