BEC Tea Tree Gully

The Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) is a division of North East Development Agency. It provides a comprehensive range of services that focus on assisting businesses to become more competitive and profitable which will help to grow the economic base of the City of Tea Tree Gully.

The BEC provides services to small and medium size businesses in the north eastern suburbs. 100,000 residents and 40,000 properties are served. Home based businesses are of particular interest with the Centre able to assist more than 4,000 residentially based business activities. Every seventh household has a registered business name and this indicates the level of entrepreneurial activity in the region.

The range of services on offer include:

• Information on issues relevant to your business including licensing, patents, and export planning
• Access to State and Federal Government programs providing assistance to Industry
• Support from Client Managers and Business Advisers who can provide practical advice to individual businesses
• Assistance in securing appropriate skills to help your business implement change
• Information, assistance and access to development programs for business in regional areas
• Networking functions featuring keynote speakers with opportunities to expand your business contacts.
• Workshops and training programs designed to assist small business operators to improve business skills

The Business Enterprise Centre Tea Tree Gully is funded by, the State Government through The Department for Trade and Economic Development and by the City of Tea Tree Gully.

The Centre exists to provide free or low cost advice and assistance to small businesses and to generate employment opportunities.
