Southern Rockhounds Inc

Southern Rockhounds Inc, Gem and mineral club serving the southern suburbs for 40 years.

We teach Lapidary, Faceting, Wire Wrapping, Silver work, Minerals, Earth Sceinces and Cabichons.

Some of our members bring to us their experience in other forms of gem and minerals such as gem trees and micro mounting.

We run workshops on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of the month. Regular Field Trips are a part of our activities and we try to cater to young and old alike.

 The club has a full weekend open fair in November each year with Show cases of our hobby and Demonstrations of everything we do.

Whilst most field trips are fairly local we do have trips to other States. We visit mines, quarries and properties where we can fossick for gems, crystals, gold and minerals.
