Spirit FM 96.3 MHz

Spirit FM currently broadcasts on 96.3 MHz on the FM band from its transmitter atop Kirby Hill Port Elliott. This is a Temporary Community Broadcast Licence radiating in a bell-shaped pattern with a maximum ERP of 50 watts. An application for a change of frequency, increased power and full 24/7 service has been submitted to the Australian Communications And Media Authority.

The transmitter is served from our Link studios at Hawke Rd Victor Harbor by a 5 watt 848.2 MHz STL link.

Our main studios are located at McKinlay St Victor Harbor. we use the STARTRAX Airplay & Radio Workstation software on an OS/2 system (updated to eComstation), with Microsoft Win98SE systems for support, though this is being replaced by Linux Ubuntu equipment.
